Why Keeping Their Wedding Private Was ‘Incredibly Important’ to Zendaya and Tom Holland

In July 2025, Zendaya’s longtime stylist, Law Roach, teased that the actress would be “a secret bride” during an interview with E!
News. A year later, Zendaya did just that: She and Tom Holland pulled off not just one but two secret wedding celebrations.
The couple privately married earlier in the year, then had a party with friends and family at the luxury U.K.
Hotel Beaverbrook on August 4. A source spoke to People today about how the couple felt about their nuptials and why they went to great lengths to keep both their events under wraps.
“Keeping everything private was incredibly important to them,” the insider explained. “They’re very protective of their personal lives and really wanted to enjoy this without any outside attention.
They’re so happy with how everything turned out. They got to have their private wedding and then this bigger celebration with everyone they love.
They really couldn’t be happier.” Newlywed life has been blissful, too. “[They’re] just so happy to be married,” the source said.
“It’s a really exciting time for both of them, and you can really see that when you’re around them.”
During a May 2025 Complex interview, Roach also spoke about why Zendaya and Holland weren’t planning to share much about their wedding publicly.

“She and Tom are super private about their relationship,” he explained. “They’re trying to be as private as possible.
There won’t be a Vogue spread or there won’t be pictures of the wedding and the people who she will invite will be really respectful of their privacy, so it will be a really beautiful dress that no one gets to see.”
In June, Holland confirmed he and Zendaya had secretly gotten married, though he didn’t share when.
Zendaya first debuted her wedding band in February, while Holland unveiled his last week.
